UF4...this is a zoomed out portion of Stone Spiral. It reminds of HR Giger.

Daily Deviation

Given 2006-11-15

The textures and lighting really give Invasion by ~Beesknees67 a commanding feel. I found my eyes wandering all over this one as I followed the swirls in every direction possible through this very intense image. (Featured by `Aeires)

When we are troubled by boredom, it is not that there is nothing to do but rather that we are not stimulated by the options before us. A bored mind can be the canvas upon which innovation is painted and the womb in which novelty is nourished. ~ Daily Om

Thanks...do you mean in overall skill or this design is an improvement over Stone Spiral?

Sorry for the bad html tag... I'm tired.

The formula I used is one I made myself, just for testing : it's a mix between Mandelbrot and Julia fractals, because the 2 formulas are nearly the same... Maybe i'll post it on the public database some day.

The coloring function is Gaussian Integer, I never tested it before, and here I use about 10 layers, with just coloring options changed.
You know I just explore the fomulas, and play with options : when an option looks well, I keep it on a new layer, then I try to mix all my layers to do something not too bad...

And you, what formula and coloring did you use?
